Supporting Movember and men’s health
The ETU Community Grant Fund donated $1,000 to the Movember Foundation in February. Protect CEO Alex McCallum presented the cheque to Cyril Dixon and Kieran Ryan at Movember’s Melbourne headquarters.
The Movember Foundation is best known for its sponsored moustache- growing fundraiser held every November. They are the only charity tackling men’s health issues on a global scale, all year round.

Movember aims to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25% by 2030. They are working towards this goal by addressing some of the biggest health issues faced
by men, including prostate cancer,
testicular cancer, mental health issues and suicide.
Since its beginnings in 2003 the Movember Foundation
has funded more than 1,200 projects to save and improve the lives of men all around the world. They now operate in
21 countries and boast 70,000 participants. The Movember Foundation is today the biggest non-government funder in the mental health space. n
