Harvester College Apprentice Awards

The Harvester Technical College Awards night was held on Thursday, 12 November 2015 at the Harvester Technical College campus in Sunshine North.

The event was attended by a significant number of industry players, the award recipients as well as all of the nominees.

The ETU sponsored the award for the Best Certificate II in Electrotechnology for a student. ETU Apprentice Officer Omar Merhi and teacher Roger Wells, himself an ETU member despite having moved off the tools, presented the award to the winner Aleksandar Maravic.

Aleksandar was delighted with the ETU pack and cheque he received as the winner, and thanked the ETU numerous times during his speech.

An important opportunity to celebrate our apprentices and a special organisation that supports them

Said Omar Merhi: ‘It was a great, informative evening, and an opportunity to reward and recognise those apprentices who excel in their chosen trade ... A huge congratulations to Aleksandar and all the other award winners, as well as all those that were nominated.’

We recognise and appreciate the respect that the teachers at this College have for the ETU.

The ETU will continue to sponsor these awards at different campuses across the Victoria. Our apprentices are the future of our trade and the movement.

We hope to remain sponsors of these important awards for many years to come.
