MENTAL HEALTH IN
THE WORKPLACE
TRAINING
45% of Australians experience a mental health problem in their lifetime
It is likely that at some point every worker will be affected by mental illness, either directly or indirectly. Knowing how to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental illness at work is just as important a part of workplace health and safety as physical first aid training.
The Mental Health in the Workplace course is a one-day program that will provide you with the knowledge and skills to identify and assist members who are struggling with mental health issues. The course is run by experts in mental health and covers topics including:
the causes of mental illness
the main types of disorders identifying symptoms treatments and their side effects
strategies to help
