ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION TESTING FUNDAMENTALS
This program re-enforces qualified A Class Electricians with the knowledge and practical skills to fulfill the mandatory verification requirements of AS/NZS 3000
– Wiring rules. This program is endorsed by Energy Safe Victoria and is highly recommended throughout the electrical industry.
ICT20215 SAFE WORK PRACTICES (SWP)
This course will enable licensed A Class Electricians to conduct safety risk assessments in relation to
safe work practices undertaken by electrical workers in the workplace. You will gain practical skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to perform rescues from live LV panels. It also provides skills and strategies to develop and promote a positive safety culture for electrical workers, especially regarding energisation procedures.
ICT20215 PROVIDE FIRST AID – LEVEL 2
The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to perform first aid in the workplace. There is a strong emphasis on promoting a work environment that is as safe and incident-free as possible. This course is tailored to identify scenarios encountered by electrical workers operating within the electrical industry. Low-voltage switchboard rescue and CPR training provides strategies for performing a safe rescue of a person who has received an electric shock or personal
injuries while working on low-
voltage conductors or equipment. Participants will gain skills for managing electrical dangers in the workplace. On completion
of the course you will have the practical skills to rescue and provide resuscitation to a person who has stopped breathing or is unconscious. These standards of performance include knowledge of the low-voltage rescue kit and following the CPR guidelines set out by the Australian Resuscitation Council.
WIRING MANDATORY TESTING
This course was established in 1988 and provides qualified electricians with the underpinning skills, knowledge and competency for
the installation and maintenance
of construction wiring on building and demolition sites. This course also includes Mandatory Electrical Testing content therefore providing a number of crucial training outcomes in the one program for electricians
in the building, construction and demolition industry sectors. This accreditation is valid for three years. Nearing the end of the three-year period, you will be required to undertake refresher training.
